Whether your kids are digging in the soil, engineering a catapult, writing messages for the fairies or playing quidditch -- your kids are learning together and loving it. At WonderWorks the mission is simple: To inspire kids to imagine and create in a caring community.
Located near the Santa Cruz coast in Aptos the air is clear and the redwoods soar. On 10 acres of woodlands there's loads of outdoor adventures and room to spread out. Kids learn each day to live in balance and to appreciate our natural world.
At WonderWorks the kids are the curriculum -- it's a place where kids grow in mind, body, heart and spirit. Special time is set aside each day for kids to practice yoga, sit in silence, share dreams and learn from each other in the safety of community. They will be challenged to think, care, create, build, run, dance, sing, reason, write... blending academic learning in a context of meaningful, fun projects.
Each child is a promise -- a possibility -- our best hope to make a positive difference for the planet. That's why the curriculum at WonderWorks links learning outcomes for students to positive social and environmental solutions. Focusing on problem solving, kids build cardboard box ecotopia communities, have Zero Trash lunch days, and engineer machines to move mountains (literally) in collaborative teams.
May your children have a powerful summer experience, full of learning and fun and hope, because each day we can choose together to make a positive difference!
